Juried photo competitions are very much like the usual baby modeling photo competitions except that instead of the decision being made by one or two judges from the company, the decision is given into the hands of the jury/the voting public. This has a huge impact on whether or not your child will be picked as the images required will need to be different and you will need to realise that what other parents and readers will be looking for in a winning baby may be very differnt from what the judges think.
This is a very subjective field, but if you have some pictures that hold a very wide appeal then this form of competition may be idea. Plus, it means that you can get into the winning ranks where in other competitions you would not be considered appropriate for the job. Just think about X-factor and the number of contestants that have stayed even though their actual singing is dire.
