Free online baby photo contests are an excellent way of getting your babies images out there for people to see with no upfront costs to yourself. This way you can put your images in the public domain where agents, photographers and advertisers can them without the need for agency fees or a portfolio. You can also make some good money! Simple but effective.
However, please check out the company first as you often waive your rights to any photographs submitted so you want to be sure you know where those images will end up during and adter the contest.
